If you ever studied Roman mythology, you know that the Romans had a god for everything. There were the major gods. Jupiter, the king of the gods. Mars, the god of war Mercury, the god of travelers and tradesmen. Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. Ceres, the goodness of agriculture. Vulcan, the god of blacksmiths and volcanoes. You get the picture.
There were minor gods as well, among them – Janus, the god of doors, gateways, beginnings, and endings. Janus is always pictured as having two faces, one facing the past and the other the future. We get our word “January” from Janus, and that makes sense, doesn’t it? Because in January, we look back to the year that’s past, and look forward to the year ahead.
Recently, when looking back, I realized that I’ve been writing Great Days e-Tips almost every month since March of 2003! That’s a long time. Things have changed since then. You’ve changed. I’ve changed. While I’m still running my business, Great Teams – Great Results, my business direction and focus have shifted, so I plan to discontinue these messages.
With Janus, I look back and thank you for your loyal readership. If you need me, I’m still in business and you can always contact me at Julie@JulieAlexander.com or juliehalexander@gmail.com. I’d love to stay in touch!
And, with Janus, I look ahead to what’s next and wish each of you good health, continued success, and lots of great days.
